Join us for a dynamic Summer Intern position within the Immunotoxicology Group, contributing to cutting-edge studies regarding drug development, safety, and efficacy. Engage in a spectrum of experimental approaches, spanning in vitro and ex vivo pharmacology. The ideal candidate will have a general familiarity with basic laboratory techniques, with a preference given to students with a biological background or experience with cell-based immune-assays. This unique opportunity allows undergraduates or recent graduates to thrive in a cross-functional pharmaceutical laboratory while gaining hands-on experience. They will collaborate with a top-tier team and actively participate in meticulous planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of experiments. Join our esteemed team in San Diego and allow us to assist us in developing your scientific curiosity for improving the health of people around the world. **Qualifications** + Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and related life science fields + Must be enrolled in university during the internship period + Available to work full-time (40 hrs./week) with reliable transportation to and from work + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship. **Preferred Qualifications** + Proven hands-on laboratory experience with a track record of productivity is highly valued, but a positive attitude and unyielding motivation are equally crucial. + Demonstrate self-motivation, reliability, and exceptional problem-solving skills, showcasing a readiness to learn and contribute positively to the team. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, showcasing strong interpersonal and analytical skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with a keen interest in learning and contributing to the dynamic field of immunology and drug development safety. _The anticipated base pay for this position is between 22.00$ per hour and 51.50$ per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible.
