About the Role

You will be responsible for system installation/configuration, project testing, customer testing and support, process improvements (including scripting), and documentation.  We are customer-facing, so you will thrive on positive client interactions and aim to delight.  Successful past and present team members have been quick learners who are able and willing to pick up varied technical and business skills on the job, are intellectually curious and are undaunted by lack of prior experience as they are adaptable and love a challenge.

About The Team

Formally known as DPP Implementations, but people call us “Imps”!  We are the hub of the wheel; nearly everything that goes on in Debit and Pre-Paid (DPP) touches the Imps team at some stage.  We sit in between Development and Production Support, but work closely with Business Analysis teams as well as Service Delivery, and we have some overlap with all of them.  Within the Imps team, we are a diverse group of individuals with a wide variety of skillsets, but there is a strong technical leaning, as much of what we do for and discuss with customers and colleagues sits in this technical space.

What You Will Be Doing

Working for a leading software house specialising in debit and prepaid card payment processing

Working within the Implementation Team to deliver projects on time, within budget and to required quality standards

Assisting, if required, with documentation improvements

A quick learner who is able and willing to pick up varied technical and business skills on the job

Working in a busy, ever changing environment with multiple clients 

Working at times within a team but mostly autonomously without direct involvement of others

Flexible and quality focused in your approach across a variety of tasks

Capable of liaising directly with customers

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study

A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

Highly organised, with attention to detail and an ability to multi-task

Pro-active – willing to ask questions and put forward ideas

Ability to build a network and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders

Proven teamwork skills combined with the desire and flexibility to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

A keen interest in financial technology - including payments technology and products, with a passion for building further knowledge in this area!

UNIX/Linux command line (User level), SQL, Office software

Motivation to work in the banking technology sector in a client facing role

Be willing and able to learn new skills on the job

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, confident in dealing with customers to executive level on business and technical topics.

Possess strong analytical and conceptual skills

Be capable of detailed software testing and support with a strong focus on quality

Be able to work both within a team and on their own when required

Be reliable and committed to the role with reasonable flexibility in exceptional circumstances

Have the ability to cope with pressure and deadlines
