Position: Import Agent Compensation: $24-$28 per hour Core Responsibilities & Duties: Prepare and review import documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations and other legal requirements Coordinate with suppliers, shippers, and customs agents to facilitate smooth import operations Monitor and track the status of shipments, addressing any issues that arise Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders Maintain accurate records of import activities, including documentation and compliance reports Execute orders by confirming arrival times, coordinating with customs brokerage, inputting data, and dispatching deliveries Work with air and ground transportation partners to handle shipments Other duties as assigned Job Requirements & Qualifications: Experience in the freight forwarding industry Excellent computer skills; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Great customer service skills Good sense of urgency Drive to learn new things and develop professionally Strong multi-tasking abilities Passion for the business Patience to customers Ability to prioritize and ensure customers come first Willingness to get involved in all aspects of the account
