What you will do

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for trade compliance in Mexico, ensuring alignment with Stryker's global policies and regulatory requirements.Prepare, review, approve, and maintain import/export documentation for legal compliance, including HTS classification, USMCA, and Annex 24/22 management.Monitor and manage cross-border logistics, ensuring prompt freight movement, accurate recordkeeping, and on-time deliveries for internal and external customers.Act as a liaison between customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and internal departments (planning, purchasing, manufacturing, finance) to facilitate seamless operations across multiple countries.Maintain accurate trade system data and legal records, supporting audits and governmental inquiries.Provide expertise on trade regulations, including import/export controls, country of origin determination, and maquiladora benefits such as PROSEC and textile rules.Oversee inventory and logistics operations across various locations, ensuring compliance with legal and operational requirements.Support global trade projects, asset control, and process improvements while fostering collaboration across departments.

What you need

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.+3 years’ experience in Import and Export or similar position, preferably in the medical devices or other highly regulated industry.Conversational English required.Basic knowledge of principles and practices of Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain.Strong knowledge of Mexican trade compliance regulations, including Annexes 24, 22, and 31, HTS classification, USMCA, and PROSEC.Proficiency in handling import/export documentation, audits, and recordkeeping in compliance with SAT requirements.Strong customer service and project management skills.
