The Role
Responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and maintaining efficient and cost-effective logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepares and arranges carriers’ collections and deliveries locally, regional and globally for all modes transportations.Plays a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, minimizing delays, and reducing costs. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing shipping documents, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery. Responsible for resolving any issues that arise during the shipping process, maintaining accurate records, and staying up to date with changes in trade regulations. Track and monitor the status of shipments, providing real-time updates to clients and internal teams.Communicating with suppliers, agents, customs officials, and other relevant parties Ensure that loss and claim processes are actioned timeously Guide and recommend best possible mode based of priority Ensures that goods are delivered in time and proof of deliveries are provided Reconcile shipments, packing lists and invoices and ensures that payments process is followed accordingly. Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4)Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (advantageous).Proven 3 years+ experience in supply chain, knowledge of international shipping, freight, and logistics principles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners and a strong understanding of global trade laws. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.How to apply
