The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team: 

Enterprise Services Customs Operations (ESCO) has an exciting, highly visible role available for an Import Manager reporting to the Planning & Operations Senior Manager. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, flexible Manager who is comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic organization with shifting priorities who can lead our team.  This role requires a proactive individual who can achieve compliance goals through hands-on planning, education, and effective project management oversight and execution. The successful candidate will foster strong business relationships with key internal and external customers, service providers, and ESCO process leads.  The role will also include establishing and maintaining customer service goals
 

What You Will do:

Determines import declaration organizational objectives and provide strategic guidance for compliant and timely filings.Establish and lead a matrixed team of remote import declaration professionals ensuring timely and compliant filings.Engage with sourcing and regulatory compliance lead to ensure compliance, monitoring, and performance objectives are met.Support Service provider import declaration monitoring.Support development of and report on key metrics of Operational Effectiveness across an established matrix organization.Lead a team on efficiency and process improvement initiatives, developing new concepts, techniques, and standards.Track, status, and provide reports and metrics associated with import activities.Support import declaration organizational policy improvements by implementing and driving adherence to procedures.Recommend modifications to companywide policies.Support development and creating of Tools and Systems to monitor the status of authorization use, shipping documents, and other underlying data/documentation for accuracy and compliance with all applicable import compliance regulations.Foster an inclusive & collaborative team working environmentMentor, train & develop team for career progressionAct as primary resource for the import team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when neededRepresent the organization for import declaration filing with internal customers and third-party service providersSupervise and control import declaration activities, and maintain compliance with the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and other relevant trade compliance regulationsIdentify and report to Leadership and/or other trade compliance management any potential violations of trade compliance laws and compliance violations and any incidents involving significant weaknesses in processes or proceduresSupport internal, external, and government-directed compliance audits and assessmentsTravel 15% - 20% to support leadership meetings and project support
 

Qualifications You Must Have:

This role typically requires a Bachelor’s degree PLUS 8+ years of applicable trade experience or an advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience.At least 5 years’ experience and knowledge of application of export/import trade regulations (e.g., International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Customs and Border Protection regulations, Anti-boycott Regulations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives Regulations (BATFE) and Foreign Trade Statistics Regulations (FTSR)U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractAt least 5 years’ experience with Enterprise systems such as SAP/ITCS, as well as MS office suite of products

Qualifications We Prefer:

Master’s degree in international business or related fieldLicensed Customs Broker and or Licensing Empowered Official experience            Foreign Language speaking/writing skillsLogistics in a Defense Environment experienceLeadership experience within a shared service environment and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage, respond efficiently and effectively to time-critical issues with competing/conflicting priorities.Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs and develop compliant and sustainable solutions.Self-starter with excellent customer relationship/interpersonal skills who can develop effective networks with internal and external customers.Ability to prioritize among demanding and sometimes conflicting requirements as well as Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
