We are seeking an Import Sourcing Specialist to play a critical role in supporting our import sourcing team. This individual will assist in managing the import process from purchase order creation through payment to supplier.

Responsibilities

You will:

Liaise with suppliers, negotiate delivery dates and address any inquiries or issues related to product sourcing and importation.Create, track and manage purchase orders from initial placement to final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.Review import all documentation including purchase orders, invoices, packing lists and customs paperwork to ensure compliance with regulations.Coordinate with Global Trade Compliance on all HTS classifications on import items.Clearly communicate and coordinate with freight carriers, purchasing teams and warehouse operations to track purchase orders to final destination.Audit freight bills to ensure proper charges per negotiated contracts.Provide Accounts Payable with accurate documents for overseas payment to suppliers.Maintain all Spec Sheets for imported items.Address and resolve any issues related to shipment delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Salary: $55,000

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Qualifications

You have:

Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline preferredA minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a sourcing, procurement, or logistics roleStrong organizational skills: Ability to multi-task, prioritize and have a sense of urgency to follow up on open issues and drive toward closureAttention to Detail: Ability to review and manage complex documentation with accuracyProblem solving skills: Able to use logic and innovative methods to solve problems and identify effective solutions.Computer literacy: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel - lookups, data sourcing, formatting, pivots, nested if statements, etc.
