Job Description

Ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service. Ownership of all day-to-day bid and quoting related functions, accounting related functions, as well as being a leader with our day operations team.

Qualifications

Major Duties and Responsibilities:            

Ensure smooth and timely freight process flowEnsure accurate and timely data entry into our operating systemInteract with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standardsManage the product pricing for RFQs (Request for Quotes).Manage and meet deadlines set by customers and Sales/Geo on responding to pricing requests.Manage inbound booking requests for AIP/OIP shipmentsRate Approval requests if requiredTLI Maintenance for OIPCommunicate with sales and build strategy.Review quotes strategically with management to ensure our win ratio improvesIdentify opportunities and challengesTrack and report the results of RFQs and all quotes.Timely follow-upInvoicing AuditsBoth on MB Level as well as HBAR MeetingsProactive Distribution of Rates to current and target customersEnsure accurate and timely execution on managing an import shipment including delivery to the customer, turnover to the customs broker, and billingMeet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirementsContribute to maintain a strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, and others)Meet KPI standards, as per the company’s proceduresOverseas communication, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)

RFQ Execution:

Convert customer formats.Insert / integrate targeted pricing.Communicate to the field.Manage responses.Audit responses and make cohesive.Maintain communication per Document Retention Policy (DRP).Update RFQ capture in a timely manner.Maintain RFQ/Pricing tools.

Analysis of Rates:

Review and analyze carrier rates.Review feedback from Sales/Geo on rate competitiveness.Report results of analysis to Business Development Team.In conjunction with pricing managers, work with carriers to keep rates fresh and competitive. 

Rate & Surcharge Maintenance:

Maintain rate databases.Maintain and distribute General Rate Increase (GRI) and surcharge information.Maintain diary system to flag expiring rate agreements and contracts.

General Support:

Provide general support for Sales and Product pricing.Provide operational support if situation arises.Provide other general pricing support as specified by the Ocean & Air Managers.
