Improper Payment Prevention Intern
Job Description SummaryAn enrolled student in the compliance analysts’ team, responsible for providing support in his/her region to the business on a variety of transactions and compliance issues. The Compliance Analyst (IPP COE) ensures all high-risk payments are identified and routed through established processes for effective control.

Key responsibilities include

Acting as a partner by applying combined legal and compliance judgment to proposed transactions, relationships and other issues requiring review and attention.Highlighting and resolving improper payments concerns, segregation of duties questions, conflicts of interest, Anti-Kickback concerns, high risk payments, and Healthcare Professional transparency requirements.Flagging & escalating any red flags/violations with applicable policies, guidelines & procedures to Legal & Compliance.Validate proof of delivery related to high-risk transactions (e.g. alignment with contractual terms for research agreements etc.).Work closely with Legal, Compliance and Finance and ensure compliance in very diverse commercial and regulatory environments.

Required Qualifications

Current enrollment in a degree program that will lead to a bachelor’s in finance/legal or similar.Readiness to work at least 25 hours per week (hybrid type of work, 1-2 office days, the rest can be remote)Upper-intermediate EnglishProficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to balance multiple priorities.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
