Improvement Nurse Coach
**Description** Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve. **Summary:** The Improvement Nurse Coach is responsible for enhancing patient care quality and outcomes by implementing evidence-based practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement on the inpatient units. This role involves coaching/education nursing staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizing data to identify areas for improvement. **Responsibilities:** **Coaching and Mentoring:** + Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in implementing best practices and improving patient care processes. + Work with quality liaison and facilitate training sessions quality improvement initiatives. + Mentoring new hired employee’s. **Quality Improvement:** + Identify opportunities for quality improvement within the nursing practice and patient care processes. + Collaborate with nursing leadership to develop and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes. **Data Analysis:** + Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to patient care quality and outcomes. + Use data to identify trends, track progress, and inform decision-making. **Interdisciplinary Collaboration:** + Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to promote a team-based approach to patient care. **Patient Safety:** + Advocate for patient safety and quality care standards. + Assist in the development and implementation of protocols to reduce errors and improve patient safety. **Policy Development:** + Contribute to the development and revision of nursing policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory standards. + Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements related to patient care. **Professional Development:** + Stay current with nursing trends, evidence-based practices, and quality improvement methodologies. + Pursue ongoing education and professional development opportunities in nursing and quality improvement. **Other Information** Other information: **Education:** + Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. **Licensure:** + Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. **Experience:** + Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting. + Previous experience in quality improvement, education, or leadership roles is preferred. **Job Details** Legal Employer: Lenoir Health Entity: UNC Lenoir Health Care Organization Unit: Medical/Surgical Uni Work Type: Full Time Standard Hours Per Week: 40.00 Salary Range: $36.46 - $45.58 per hour (Minimum to Midpoint ) Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity Work Assignment Type: Onsite Work Schedule: Variable Location of Job: US:NC:Kinston Exempt From Overtime: Exempt: No Qualified applicants will be considered without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
