What You Will Do
Discover customers’ needs and offer solutions to them through the company’s services or productsBecome an expert in our product offerings and serve as a go-to source for clients who want more information concerning our productsResponsible for meeting quarterly sales goals and objectivesActively engage and drive sales by achieving minimum sales appointment thresholdsMaintain a strong relationship within assigned territory thru active engagement in the store and assigned region.Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programsListens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessaryCommunicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programsBuilds client relationships asking qualifying questions to fully understand and assess client needsOvercomes client objections by understanding client motivations and desired project outcomesCaptures accurate measurements, confirms client product selections, reviews next steps, and gains a scheduled commitment (i.e., confirmed date and time) for follow-upFollows-up with clients who have not made a buying decision when the company runs promotionsCalls clients 24 hours in advance to confirm appointmentsPrepares for all upcoming appointments by coordinating calls, products, and activitiesWorks with general contractors and/or installers to quote, sell, and produce accurate jobsKeeps appointment calendar active and updated so that associates may schedule appointments for themProvides detailed/comprehensive updates to Territory Sales Manager during weekly 1-1 meetingDelivers paperwork to the store and project information to the appropriate store to ensure projects are produced accurately and on a timely basisMaintains project folders and ensures all paperwork (e.g., contracts, pricing worksheets and proposal documentation) is filled out according to policyMaintains all collateral, samples, forms and paperwork and ensures all samples are clean, workable and prepared for client demonstrationTakes all necessary safety precautions when visiting customers in their homeAlthough majority of time is spent outside of store, this individual must adhere to all safety requirements when in the store and is held to the same safety measures of other associates.Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GEDResidential construction experience (e.g., home building or renovations) OR 2+ years of face-toface sales experienceValid driver’s license with reliable transportation and ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirementsIf the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment in this positionPreferred Qualifications
