Job Title: In-Orbit Test Systems EngineerJob Description This is an exciting systems engineering opportunity where you will be defining In-Orbit testing (IOT) plans and constraints. This includes creating IOT procedures, rehearsals, and plans for the spacecraft subsystems and payloads. This role involves ground system equipment definition and validation, data collection, distribution, and analysis. You will participate in IOT operations and serve as the liaison with our customers' ground segment infrastructure and ground equipment. This role requires supporting the integration and testing of new capabilities for the satellite and ground system. Strong soft skills and the ability to prepare and present technical content to peers, management, and customers are essential. Responsibilities + Define In-Orbit testing (IOT) plans and constraints. + Create IOT procedures, rehearsals, and plans for spacecraft subsystems and payloads. + Define and validate ground system equipment. + Collect, distribute, and analyze test data. + Participate in IOT operations. + Serve as the liaison with customers' ground segment infrastructure and ground equipment. + Support the integration and testing of new capabilities for the satellite and ground system. + Prepare and present technical content to peers, management, and customers. Essential Skills + Experience with In-Orbit Test, Test Schedules, and Test planning. + Understanding of low-earth orbit or medium-earth orbit digital communication satellites. + Experience with space environment and orbital mechanics. + Experience creating IOT plans. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of digital communication protocols. + Understanding of modulation schemes. + Experience with ground station equipment. + Experience with satellite early stage operation. + Knowledge of ground station infrastructure.
