Job Description To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional Room Service. Responsibilities + Must have complete knowledge of service time, menu, and any specials. + Prepare, deliver, and service orders. + Always inquire if additional service is needed. + Responsible for each check. + Responsible for pick-up tables and trays. + Responsible for set-up, delivery and presentation of VIP amenity. + Must consult with supervisor on any food pick-up difficulty. + Complete all side work duties as assigned. + Attend all designated staff meetings and training session + Any other task as assigned by management Tools and Equipment: + Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine + Walk-in refrigerator, Room Service tables, and hot box. + Working Environment: + Interior of hotel, in the restaurant, kitchen and guestroom. Exposure to extreme temperatures. + Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals. + Exposure to food items and beverages. Qualifications + Good communication skills both written and verbal + Enthusiastic and friendly with a positive attitude + Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays + Must be at least 18 years of age. + Prior food and beverage experience preferred but not required. + Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 30 lbs + Must have valid ServSafe and Tips Certification or can obtain such valid certification prior to working + C an walk and stand for the duration of the 8-10 hour shift All Full-Time, Year-Round Employees of The Omni Homestead receive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, in addition to resort-specific discounts on dining, rooms, retail, and activities.
