Overview

The Room Service Server is responsible for delivering food and beverage orders to guests' rooms in a timely and professional manner. This role involves providing excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the room service area.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

Order Delivery:

Promptly deliver room service orders to guests' rooms while adhering to the hotel's service standards.Ensure that all orders are complete, correct, and beautifully presented before delivery.Assist guests with setting up their in-room dining experience and answer any questions regarding their order.

Guest Interaction:

Provide courteous, professional, and personalized service to all guests.Respond to guest inquiries or requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring a positive guest experience.Handle any guest complaints or issues with empathy and resolve them in a timely manner, escalating to a supervisor if necessary.

Order Taking:

Take room service orders accurately over the phone, ensuring all dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests are noted.Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared correctly and delivered on time.

Maintenance and Cleanliness:

Retrieve used trays, dishes, and cutlery from guest rooms and ensure prompt and hygienic return to the kitchen.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room service station, including ensuring supplies are stocked.Follow health and safety regulations and hotel policies regarding food handling, sanitation, and hygiene.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the kitchen, front desk, and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service delivery.Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve service standards and stay updated on hotel policies. Qualifications Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and stand for extended periods.Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
