Inbound Logistic Specialist- German Language

The Inbound Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the transportation, delivery, and storage of goods and materials within the supply chain. This role ensures the timely and cost-efficient delivery of products to the company's facilities. The coordinator will manage suppliers, transportation vendors, and inventory systems while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

1. Inbound Shipments Management:

Coordinate and manage the inbound transportation process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to confirm shipment schedules, lead times, and delivery expectations.Track and monitor all incoming shipments to ensure proper documentation and delivery accuracy.

2. Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of inbound deliveries and ensure goods are stored correctly in the warehouse.Work with the warehouse team to verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists.Collaborate with inventory control to ensure stock levels are accurate and meet operational requirements.

3. Vendor Management:

Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers, freight forwarders, and suppliers.Monitor and evaluate the performance of transportation vendors and other third-party logistics providers.

4. Logistics Planning & Coordination:

Plan and optimize inbound logistics schedules, ensuring that deliveries align with production schedules and demand forecasts.Collaborate with the procurement and production teams to ensure materials are available when needed.Resolve any inbound logistics issues such as delayed shipments, damage claims, or quality discrepancies.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws regarding international shipments, customs clearance, and import/export requirements.Maintain accurate records of all inbound shipments, including bills of lading, purchase orders, invoices, and other required documentation.Prepare reports on inbound logistics performance, including delivery times, costs, and service issues.

6. Cost Management:

Monitor logistics costs to ensure adherence to budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.Work with finance and procurement teams to analyze transportation costs and develop strategies for cost reduction.

7. Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve issues related to inbound logistics, including shipment delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies between shipment and order details.Implement corrective actions to prevent future issues and improve the overall efficiency of inbound logistics processes.

8. Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in inbound logistics, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations.
