The Warehouse Inbound Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt and processing of inbound shipments while ensuring safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong leadership to manage labor resources, develop frontline supervisors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and strong analytical skills to optimize operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Operations ManagementEnsure timely receiving and processing of inbound shipments to maintain operational efficiency.Monitor and optimize workflow, reducing bottlenecks in receiving and storage processes.Maintain accurate inventory control and reconciliation during inbound processing.Labor Management & Development
Manage labor hours within established goals to maintain productivity and cost efficiency.Lead, mentor, and develop frontline supervisors to enhance leadership and operational effectiveness.Foster a high-performance team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within inbound operations.Utilize Lean Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.Track key performance metrics and use data-driven insights to implement operational improvements.Safety & Quality Compliance
Ensure all inbound operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.Conduct regular audits and training to reinforce safety best practices.Uphold quality standards in receiving, handling, and storage to prevent product damage and loss.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.5+ years of warehouse operations management experience, with a focus on inbound processes.Experience in labor management, cost control, and operational efficiency.Strong leadership and team development skills.Lean Six Sigma certification or experience preferred.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
