Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for the profile of Program Manager for Inbound team to keep delighting our customers by fulfilling products from Amazon and our Selling Partners at the fastest possible speed, on-time and at the lowest possible cost. The role is a part of the Brazil Supply Chain under the Inbound and Placement team.
As part of Inbound and Placement team, you will seek out problems, dive deep into data, earn trust of partner teams, and deliver results that can have a large scale influence. This role is a blend of short term execution and long term strategic planning, that requires quick decision-making, with incomplete data, while also thinking big and influencing the long term direction of the Amazon Brazil Fulfillment Operations.
This role will give you a unique view of Amazon systems, process and operations, interacting with multiple teams and solving problems while the engine is running at full speed. It is broad and complex, with meaningful economic impact to the company. The end goal of this role is to answer the question of how we can fulfill more products to our customers in a safer, faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective manner.
Key job responsibilities
This role will work close to the Ops teams (Fulfillment Center) and Stores teams (Retail and FBA) along with multiple other teams to implement process improvements and new technical features to improve forecast accuracy. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused and used to work with ambiguity. They will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. In this position you will:
• Forecasting inbound and outbound volumes at Fulfillment Center (FC) weekly and daily grain;
• Set up robust processes to improve forecasting accuracy with an objective to minimize cost and maximize operations productivity;
• Utilize exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence business, operations and technical audiences;
• Manage Fulfillment Center scheduling process to balance Operations bottom necks and Vendors/Sellers experience;
• Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting;
• Make the existing processes scalable by identifying and implementing available tools/automation;
• Deep dive and analyze key business performance metrics, identify gaps, create plans to drive forecast deviations reductions;
• Develop new metrics and performance indicators to evaluate, audit and improve efficiency of S&OP forecasting;
• Own day-to-day operations execution and implement quick actions to keep adhering to the plan;
• Own regular business reviews with leadership and operational teams to audit ongoing performance against key metrics and program goal;
• Rollout best practices from other geographies/companies to minimize end to end supply chain losses.
