Key accountabilities 

 

Assists the Finance Leadership in successfully The Peninsula Istanbul by implementing finance related systems, efficient paperless processes Finance team. Assists the Finance Leadership in ensuring compliance with HSH Finance related policies and procedures and participates to any task necessary to achieve the highest levels of compliance and efficiency. Supervises all aspects of the Peninsula Istanbul Income Audit management, including monitoring and recording the Property’s income through proper audit of daily sales. This audit ensures the accurate recording and classification of revenues and related transactions and enables detection of discrepancies. Ensures that all Revenue reports (daily, weekly and monthly) are reflecting a true image of the Property’s income, including contractual obligations, by identifying discrepancies, processing corrections, chasing for appropriate controls and identifying patterns for improvement of processes.  Prepares and input journal vouchers, cash receipts journals, and Entertainment journals as well as participates to the month-end process and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts. Income Auditor conducts regular spot checks in all revenue centers across the Hotel and documents the results on a monthly basis. In case of any irregularity informs his/her superiors immediately and takes corrective actions. 

 

General requirements

 

Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience in hospitality-residential environment and supervisory experience. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Turkish & English. Understanding of the various accounting functions.  Extensive experience in Income Audit.   Ability to manage a complex tax and contractual environment.  High level of integrity is required. Outgoing, flexible, detail oriented, strong organizational and negotiation skills.
