Incoming Inspector - Second Shift

These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​ We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins. **Job Description** **Position Summary:** · This position performs incoming and in-process inspections to confirm product and product specifications meet company and customer expectations and traceability requirements. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** · Perform mechanical inspection, of complete product, to verify compliance to drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. · Validate that all contract quality requirements have been met by reviewing in-process inspections, assembly and test records. · Create objective quality evidence documentation packages for presentation to internal and external customers. · Engagement with cross functional team members to address and root cause deficiencies found during inspection. **Education and Experience:** · 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing/quality field. · Experience with contract/purchase order requirements review a plus. · Experience with material receiving and shipping a plus. · Ability to understand and follow written instructions and guidelines. · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals, etc. · Ability to use basic high school math skills. **Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** · The ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings. · Experience using precision measuring equipment for mechanical inspection. · Proficiency using MS windows, MS office suite, and Adobe (professional) software. · ERP system experience preferred. **Training Requirements:** · ERP system overview/administration · Quality Management System overview · Hazardous Communications **Physical Demands:** · Be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. · Pass a vision screening (Jaeger/Ishihara color scale). · This job will require bending, standing in various positions and walking. **Work Environment:** · This position will mainly work in a manufacturing production floor environment. **Personal Protective Equipment:** · The use of Safety Glasses and PPE is required when walking throughout all production areas of the facility.
