Incoming Quality Control & Insurance Inspector

Our expertise have made a valuable difference for our clients for the past 100 years, and we are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Incoming Quality Control & Assurance Inspector who will join our Quality team for 1 year and assist us in making a valuable difference in the century to come. The main role purpose is performing defined goods quality inspections (hardware and documentation check) in line with internal planning, and priorities with on-time reporting, and ensuring cleanliness and necessary care for measurement tools and working areas. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly motivated team which is based in Rheden, the Netherlands, to capture the growth opportunities in the renewable hydrogen market!

What needs to be done? Following HTC Safety 1st policy and reporting of near-miss conditions in case. Conduct goods inspection and verify compliance with the acceptance criteria outlined in internal quality standards, specifications, drawings, and purchase orders. Acceptance review on required certification of the products during the physical inspection. Record and report non-conformities or deviations from applicable reference documents. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of goods inspection results, including reports, photos, and test results. Communicate effectively with suppliers (in case of request) and internal departments regarding rejected or non-conforming goods and follow up on corrective actions. Analyse inspection results to identify trends and root causes of defects or non-conformities, recommending corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) where necessary. Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality inspection procedures and guidelines for goods control. Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for quality processes. Collaborate with production, warehouse, engineering, procurement, work preparation, and quality departments to ensure smooth operations and high product quality. Oversee the calibration of measurement and testing instruments to ensure their accuracy and reliability. Additionally, ensure that uncalibrated instruments are placed in a designated quarantined area until they are calibrated by an external company within the scheduled timeframe. Participating in team improvement projects.
  What do you need to bring? Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a QC/QA Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably as goods control inspector. Strong analytical skills to assess reported quality issues at goods control, identify patterns, and recommend actionable improvements. Sharp eye for detail and strong understanding of quality control methods Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English with advanced written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Dutch is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively in both professional and everyday conversations. Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, roughness measurement, etc. Knowledge of international regulations and quality processes is preferred. A practical and proactive personality that shows a strong sense of ownership and a customer focus. A team player with a willingness to learn and develop with a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation in English, including drawings of mechanical parts (2D & 3D), tolerances, P&ID, etc.
