Incubations Acceleration Lead

We are seeking an experienced leader to guide HP internal Incubations into the future through creative thought and brilliant experiences. In this unique leadership opportunity, your contributions will help to shape HP’s future and revolutionize many industries. The Innovation Office team is part of the Technology and Innovation Organization (TIO) at HP. TIO hosts key strategic capabilities development for the company and works on behalf of the company’s executive leadership team to guide the development of HP’s long-term vision into actionable strategy.

As an Experienced Strategy and Incubation leader

You will push the limits to increase HP pace of innovation. Explore and evaluate new business opportunities and ensure their consistency with the company vision and strategy. Working with Research, Product, and business stakeholders, set a high bar for ideating market disruptions and guiding them thru market validations, workshops and design thinking sessions. Partner internally and externally and ensure a constant flow of ideas to proof of concept stagesYou will influence stakeholders at all levels to embrace a founder’s mentality, establishing milestones-based validation and funding processes to make informed and ongoing decisions on funding levelsYou will champion to ensure our financial, operational and people resources are deployed to execute on agreed strategies and plansYou will develop a venue for innovation ideas based on a formalized methodology to identify, validate and scale disruptive businessesYou will ensure strategic decisions are made and operations are executed with consistency and providing the right level of analysis. Be proactive to ensure Asset Insight, Performance and Progression priorities are connected to this standardized view of the portfolioYou will lead Acceleration Training to the incubation and founders community and Online resourcesYou will build connections with external experts (VC’s, Accelerators, Incubators, Founders) to enable an outside-in validation of HP’s incubations and community of external advisorsYou will oversee the development and implement action of standardized program/project management processes and tools to facilitate and assess project planning, program budgeting, risk identification and management, change management, program governance and program/project status reportingYou will ensure all executed projects and programs are aligned with the strategic plan and adhere to all the defined processes and meet the required standards for planning and execution. Facilitate cross–site (internal and external), cross-functional interactions and provide support between BUs and functions as required

To land this role, you also need to have some experience:

You have prior experience in a start-up like venture (Accelerator, Corporate Incubation, VC)You have experience in developing acceleration programs for new business creation.You have strong strategy, program management and financial skillsYou have strong familiarity with Lean start Up & Agile methodologyYou have achieved planned financial results at an organizational levelYou have exercised leadership on external business or industry boardsYou have 10+ years relevant experience. Post-advanced degree experience leading highly visible deals and new business creation in a start-up, venture capital or corporate environmentYou have MBA (highly desired) or advanced university degree. Bachelor’s degree required.

The base pay range for this role is $130,350 to $200,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
