INFORMATION ABOUT THE BUSINESS One of the primary verticals of Global Spend Management-Analytics is Data Engineering where we specialize in Data Ingestion from multiple data sources followed by Data Warehousing, Data Enrichment and Data Management (including security and maintenance). To support data-driven decisions it is imperative to have data in a timely manner and in the right order. Support is provided across multiple Aon business verticals/geographies supporting revenue, savings and process re-engineering activities. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: The applicant should have experience in data ingestion, data warehousing and must have good skill-sets on technologies like Python, Snowflake, Spark/PySpark, Databricks, SQL queries and SQL Server. It is important the candidate abide by the rules as defined by the organization (which will be explained in detailed during training). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : + Candidate will be responsible for developing/maintaining/monitoring data pipelines and creating/monitoring data ingestion jobs. + Experience in Data Engineering with good knowledge of technologies like + Big data + Python + Spark/PySpark + Snowflake + Azure Databricks + Amazon S3 (or any cloud-based storage services) + StreamSets + SQL Server + Integrate data from different sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. + Good experience with Spark/PySpark for data processing and analysis + Experience with working on cloud platforms, preferably AWS. + Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide valuable insights through data engineering solutions. + Adhere to data governance and security policies. + Knowledge of professional software development & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, testing & maintenance. + Strong debugging, monitoring, and diagnosing skills for solution development & support. + Coaching and guiding cross-functional team members. + Strong exposure to automation technologies.
