Index/Analysis/QC Technician
Indexes all documents to the appropriate patient folder and ensures each document is assigned the appropriate name. Reviews 100% of images to assure quality of images and timeliness of scanning. Rescans all documents that are poor or unacceptable quality. Assures that all patient records are correctly prepared for the record completion process according to Joint Commission standards, Randolph Hospital rules and regulations, North Carolina State laws and other appropriate licensing agencies. High school graduate or GED required. Graduate of approved medical secretarial course preferred. On-the-job training can be substituted for candidates that are otherwise qualified. Knowledge of Meditech system, Valco software and equipment such as scanner, copier, printer and fax. Detail-oriented with ability to concentrate on one task for an extended length of time. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and electronically. Ability to work in a stressful and demanding environment. Ability to multi-task. Previous medical office or an acute healthcare setting experience required.
