SEI India seeks to hire a General Manager for its Global Capability Center (GCC). The position requires a well-rounded senior management professional with deep understanding of the Banking and Financial Services Industry, and prior delivery experience of related Technology and Business Operations functions. The position will have the opportunity to work with senior leadership of the company across business functions.
SEI India is an early-stage Indian subsidiary currently operating from its registered office in New Delhi, and a satellite office in Kolkata. In line with its growth plans, SEI India is working to establish a GCC to house its employee workforce engaged in Technology and Business Operations functions supporting various market units of SEI.
This position will manage and provide strategic planning and operational oversight of the following broad functions with indicative responsibilities:
Setup and Implementation:
In partnership with the vendor partner, lead the establishment of the GCC from the ground up, including, but not limited to, infrastructure setup, policy setting, and workforce hiring.Develop and execute a comprehensive transition plan for the eventual transfer of operations to the company's leadership team.Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the GCC, ensuring adherence to quality standards, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance requirements.Implement best practices for project management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring and status reporting to optimize efficiency and productivity.Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring continuity and resilience of operations.General Management
Corporate GovernanceKeep current on various rules, regulations, and laws affecting the company business including but not limited to Companies Act, Data Protection and Privacy, Labor, Immigration, and Corporate Affairs for the purpose of running an effective GCCPeople LeadershipPartner with WFD/HR to provide Strategic input for maintaining adequate and innovative benefits, employee hiring and onboarding, learning and developmentBudgeting and AccountingUnderstand and facilitate budget forecast and accounting processIT Infrastructure and Asset ProcurementsFacilitate End-Computing Asset Life Cycle and IT Network and Connectivity Strategy development and execution to optimize infrastructure spendStakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on status, milestones, and challenges.Build and maintain strong relationships with SEI leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and values.Enterprise Sales/Customer SupportCulture & Values
Provide local oversight of SEI’s interests for GCCPromote SEI Brand and Values (Be the Culture Carrier!!)Vendor and Partner Management
Act as the primary point of contact for the vendor partners, facilitating communication and collaboration.Contract Management and related performance evaluationStrategy & Delivery Management
Develop and implement strategic plans for the delivery of services, aligning with the organization's overall goals and objectives.Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Establish effective partnership with various Delivery Management stakeholders across market unitsMonitor and report on project milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.Enterprise Risk Management
Own GCC Business Continuity Planning (BCP)Accountable for Compliance Training Rollout and ReportingCOMPETENCIES and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.Experience:
At least 15 years’ experience with proven leadership skillsDemonstrated experience managing product development, large-scale, agile software delivery processes, software maintenance and support, infrastructure maintenance / operations and technology programs / projects in general.Previous working experience of establishing/managing a GCC is strongly desirableExperience working in the financial services industry is preferredStrong track record working in a complex, fast-growth global environment working with senior management and executivesPrior experience working in India a plusOther Competencies and Skills:
