What you'll do:As an Indirect Procurement Specialist you will focus on executing category strategies, building supplier relationships and implementing cost-saving initiatives. You will work closely with the Senior Procurement Specialist and internal stakeholders on projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement processes, providing essential support.
How you'll make an impact Support the development and execute sourcing strategies for select indirect categories, ensuring alignment with budget and quality standards. Conduct supplier research and manage Request for Solutions (RFs)/Request for Quotation (RFQ)s, evaluating supplier proposals to support strategic sourcing initiatives. Collaborate with key suppliers, focusing on relationship maintenance routine performance checks and issue resolution. Support contract negotiations under guidance from the Senior Procurement Specialist, working to secure favourable terms and renewals. Partner with teams in finance, HR, IT and operations to understand procurement needs and implement best practices. Provide guidance on procurement policies and assist with training stakeholders on procurement processes. Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities within assigned categories, optimizing spend where feasible. Support process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness. Collect and analyze procurement data, assisting in the preparation of reports for Senior Procurement Specialist and business leaders. Track savings and performance metrics to assess effectiveness and support informed decision-making. What you'll bring to the role Experience managing sourcing and purchasing within indirect categories such as IT, marking, HR, and facilities, including experience conducting supplier research and managing RFPs/RFQs. Proven track record in establishing and maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and addressing any service issues with experience in basic contract negotiations and renewals. Collaborating with various departments (e.g., finance, marketing, legal, IT) to align procurement efforts with business needs, while ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Experience identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing small-scale process improvements to support procurement efficiency and reduce costs. Experience collecting and analyzing data, generating basic reports, and tracking key performance areas to measure supplier performance and spending trends. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, with the ability to successfully prioritize and meet business required deadlines. Proficiency with Procurement and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools for managing source processes, supplier relationships and spend data analysis.
