Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Monitor and ensure proper stocking levels of MRO and production inventories to mitigate any supply disruptionsEvaluate historical demands to facilitate planning and procurement of materials for various commoditiesProvide internal customer needs in a fast-paced environmentCollaborate with suppliers and contractors in support of optimized maintenance work activitiesCollaborate with Sourcing to create favorable contract termsParticipate in continuous improvement programs (Kaizen, Lean, Safety)Monitor MRO inventories and ensure that stock levels are balanced between cost and inventory on handResponsible for onboarding of new suppliers, annual contracts, receiving and invoice issues as it relates to our suppliersProvide Maintenance with work packages for planned work in advance and provide scheduled work lists to operations of others to support prep workProvide support to plan and schedule maintenance work in conjunction with MRO operations to support improvements at siteExecute cost-focused strategy for Indirect spend area and administer indirect budget spend monthlyProvide direction and guidance on indirect crib inventories, vendor managed inventory and storage plansAssist in creating, developing, and maintaining the accuracy of site enterprise system (Maximo) equipment data base for all planned and unplanned workBuild supplier relationships to deliver significant value for siteResponsible for defining and leading the strategies for sourcing, negotiation, administration, implementation, and management of MRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) commodities while delivering cost savings and efficiencyContribute in the development of new processes and procedures and driving continuous improvementProcess purchase ordersMaximo purchase order processing; write, prioritize, coordinate, execute, maintain, closeProcess purchasing requests for materials and supplies for Maximo work ordersTrack, coordinate, and expedite time sensitive parts arrival with suppliers and maintenance personnelTrack specialty torque tooling with domestic and international suppliersMonitor, maintain, re-order inventory levelsLead and coordinate support servicesRelease preventative maintenance plansWrite/enter work job descriptions / job plans as necessaryMaintain all OSHA required paperworkCommunicates with vendors for equipment repair seeking low cost alternatives as necessaryCoordinate and intercept urgent part arrivals and delivery of all incoming partsMaintain the inventory of centralized materials and supplies that support maintenance teamProcess and coordinate contractual services to support site Maximo work ordersOversee various day-to-day operations of re-stocking and distribution of maintenance materialsCoordinate vehicle and equipment repairsAbility to establish/maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, supervisors, and techniciansExpedite contracted service repairsDrive company truck to make pick-ups as requiredMaintain records for all outstanding equipment repairs at vendor locations

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associate Degree in related field OR High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 years of experience in purchasing/sourcing/ MRO related fieldStrong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams and purchasing and maintenance information systemsWilling and able to work early-in, late, and/or overtime including weekends on short noticeWilling and able to work any shift including split shift and across shiftsMust be able to lift and carry at least 33 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodationMust be able to stand for long periods of time up to 95% of the shift with or without reasonable accommodation

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Must pass background and drug screensValid Driver’s License

Desired Characteristics:

Associate degree or 2-year certificateStrong knowledge of manufacturing sourcing and MRO.2 years of experience in MRO, purchasing, or planning in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated process improvement leadershipKnowledge of purchasing and maintenance information systemsStrong project management skills; ability to plan, lead, organize, and control multiple prioritiesSelf-starter, high energy team player with a desire for continuous improvementAbility to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside of the companyEffective problem identification and solution skillsExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to learn computer systems quicklyMust be detail oriented and have strong organizational skillsProven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processesAbility and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting and across functional teamsCustomer service oriented; responsive to needs of internal/external customers
