The Indirect Tax Compliance & Technology Manager’s main responsibility is to manage indirect tax compliance, drive automation within the area of indirect tax and improve indirect tax master data to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency in Ericsson indirect tax processes. The current role will have a focus on the indirect tax matters related to southern Europe and Northern Africa.
Indirect Tax Compliance & Technology Manager is responsible to coordinate, guide and support the work of the Indirect Tax Specialists related to indirect tax compliance, reviews and approves the indirect tax return, responsible for initiating, managing, and driving indirect tax process improvements and automation and takes lead in initiating and driving collaboration with stakeholders/data owners to correct the faults in tax master data.
What you will do:
Responsible for end-to-end indirect tax compliance activities within the allocated geographical areaPerform, review, and approve indirect tax closing activities (Certification, SOX controls, JV postings, etc.)Root Cause Data Analysis of inaccuracies in indirect tax reports and feedback/ collaborate with stakeholders/data owners to correct the faultsSupport and guide indirect tax specialists in their day-to day activities related to indirect tax complianceCoordinate and support outsource providers handling indirect tax complianceProvide regular indirect tax training and support to relevant stakeholders and data owners for example APS, LAS etc.Manage indirect tax process improvements and automation by:Actively participate in projects related to process, systems, and automation in area of indirect taxIdentify, set up and implement new solution, tools and functionality in tax compliance processesCollaborate internally and with stakeholders to develop tax automation and functionalityDrive and initiate optimal ways of working in area of tax processesDrive and actively participate in initiatives and improvements related to process, systems, and automation in area of indirect taxManage and improve tax master dataProvide system VAT logic adviceCollaborate with stakeholders/data owners to correct the faults in tax master dataProvide audit support by supporting and collaborating with tax management to gather indirect tax documentation and information as requested by the tax auditors and other internal and external auditors.Work proactively to ensure indirect tax audit data is accessible.Manage process related to reclaim foreign Indirect Tax on supplier invoices.
You will bring:
Bachelor’s in business administration, Accounting, Finance and/or Tax Law or equivalentKnowledge and experience of indirect tax legislation and compliance activitiesUnderstanding of Ericsson business processKnowledge in GAAP (i.e. local GAAP, IFRS and group directives)Knowledge and understanding of financial systems (SAP, etc.)Accounting, reporting and financial analysis skillsProficiency in EnglishNegotiating, Communication and teamwork skillsHigh standards for quality and quantity!Working in a detailed, methodical, and orderly way.
