Position Title: Indirect Tax Manager
Location: Denver, CO, USA

Role Purpose Manage all aspects of the America’s Indirect Tax compliance process including but not limited to US Transaction taxesPrepare, maintain, and manage all Indirect tax related journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliationsManage all aspects of tax audits and inquiries, and tax notice resolution from state and local tax agenciesPartner with the International Tax Teams, Business Teams, and other corporate functions to serve as the America’s in-house tax advisor for business transactions and new and expanding business product linesAbility to research technical tax issues and articulate clearly interpretations, recommendations, and conclusions to non-technical professionalsIdentify and implement process improvements including utilization of new technologies  Monitor legislative and case law changes that impact indirect tax guidance and the impact to the companyKey Accountabilities Ownership of all America’s Transaction and telecommunications tax remittances, payments, accounting and reconciliationsManage external advisors and tax shared service team membersEfficiently respond to all audit activity and state inquiresEffectively Partner and communicate with the business and other internal stakeholdersLead multiple tax projects to ensure compliance with state and local tax lawsIdentify and implement process improvementsMonitor Transaction tax systems to ensure correct tax rates and rules are appliedMaintain customer and vendor exemption certificatesUnderstand and monitor constantly changing rules and regulations of each jurisdictionCore competencies, knowledge, and experience Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with external and internal cross-functional teams across different regionsConfidence to question structure and processesAdaptable to changeExcellent accounting and analytical skillsExperience managing multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong sense of ownership, accountability, detail and results orientedAbility to organize and prioritize, and work under deadline pressuresKey Qualifications

Essential

Bachelor’s degree, Accounting, Finance, or Taxation6+ years of indirect tax experience, preferably with a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax departmentKnowledge of financial and tax systems including SAP, Vertex, Avalara, Alteryx, BNAKnowledge of MS Office products

 

Desired

Telecommunications taxation experience a plusCPA or other certification highly desiredCompensation Range (base salary)

$107,200 - $160,800 / yr
