The position
The position is pivotal in professionalizing and enhancing our focus on transparent, efficient, and compliant indirect tax reporting and advisory at Novo Nordisk. As our business expands, the complexity of operations grows, and collaboration with colleagues will involve providing guidance on indirect taxes to various business areas within Denmark and globally.
Some of your responsibilities will be to:
Act as a trusted internal advisor on indirect tax for the business, especially for Product Supply on expansion of production capacity.
Engage in the success of our tax technology strategy for indirect taxes, contributing to our transition towards SAP S/4 HANA and AI tax determination.
Enhance and optimize processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency in indirect tax reporting and advisory.
Qualifications
Master’s degree and solid experience from a similar position. Proven experience with VAT advisory. It will be an advantage to have experience in the legislation on energy taxes, customs duties and excise duties. Extensive knowledge on the legal requirements on indirect tax. To have some experience in Denmark will be a plus. Fluency in English is required, while Danish will be a clear advantage.
As a person, you possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, analytical skills and well-founded documentation practices, including strong data handling and excel competencies.
You have a high level of drive and a strong sense of responsibility. You are pro-active, work in a structured way, and ensure compliance, timely delivery, and high quality. You can handle complexity and know how to make things simple and understandable to people at all levels in the organisation.
About the Department
In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax department, we are 25 dedicated employees working in teams within transfer pricing, compliance, M&A tax, and indirect taxes. You will be part of the Indirect Tax Team which advise on VAT, customs duties, energy taxes and excise duties. You will refer to the Director of the team.
Further to this, you will be part of the Global Tax organisation encompassing around 66 employees worldwide.
