Individual Training Team Lead

XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training for Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training for Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training for Divisions and Corps in training environments in Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).

HOW THE INDIVIDUAL TRAINING TEAM LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Supervises training support and ELM contributions.

The Individual Training Team Lead provides oversight of the Operator Training capability of the MTC. Tasks include but are not limited to Course curriculum development / scheduling and Instructor assignments.Supervises the delivery of Individual and Collective training based on C2IS course and exercise plans through coordination with unit and government leadership.Executes Event / Exercise lifecycle management (planning, preparation, execution and recovery, AAR).Supports Unit Commander’s Training Objectives by developing training methods and materials such as curriculum, lectures, and computer-based training aids based on consultation with client / user specifications.Leads consultation with users to design, create, and configure systems to meet their training requirements.Executes the ongoing operations and futures developments for systems capabilities and integration.Conducts hands on integration of requisite C2IS and Simulation/Stimulation capabilities within training environments.Leads / participates in AARs upon completion of training and presents recommendations for improvements.Submits required training reports on time.Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required to support customer requirements.

Manages Operation Readiness Tests (ORT) for C2IS software updates and emergent capabilities.

Coordinates efforts to configure, test, validate and document the integration requirements for C2IS and Simulations capabilities.Provides technical risk mitigation throughout the MTC systems’ architecture by ensuring compliance with configuration management procedural guidance.Ensures that MTC C2IS and LVC capabilities align with customer requirements.

Contributes to the MTC’s Training Support Package (TSP).

Develops TSP products that include comprehensive operational procedures for an integrated federation of C2IS and simulation / stimulation systems. These products include but are not limited to Sequences of Instruction (SOI), Capability Documents (CD), Integration Support Documents (ISD) and Event Lifecycle Management (ELM) materials.

Participates in the Professional Development and Certification Program (PDCP).

Attains and maintains assigned PDCP Track certification.Contributes to the training of MTC personnel.

Coordinates Training Division Equipment.

Responsible for maintaining accountability of TD Government issued equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education/Experience Requirement: BS/BA DegreeExperience: 5+ years of relevant experience at the Battalion or higher.Technical Experience: Expert knowledge of and experience with Army constructive models and simulationsDemonstrated experience controlling medium to large unit training events and operations for MTC or similar organizations.Demonstrated experience with military training and training support at the Brigade or higher level.Demonstrated experience in operations and training requirements at Division or higher level.Demonstrated experience executing Mission Command training at battalion command level or higher.Extensive knowledge of virtual training simulators, constructive simulations, and with Army Games for TrainingExpertise with Army Mission command Systems / platforms and systems integrationSecurity Clearance: Current SECRET required.Required Skills and Ability: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of military training programsLocation: Fort Liberty, NC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements. Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)
