OVERVIEW The Industrial Cleaner is a multifaceted position responsible for executing tasks related to sanitation, facility upkeep, training, and operations support. STARTING PAY : $19.00/HOUR SHIFT : 1ST DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment in areas such as the plant floor, offices, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, stair ways, locker rooms, etc., that meets the standards of SQF Level 3. + Partners with both Production and Quality to ensure Master Sanitation List is completed according to schedule. Provides feedback on improvements. + Replenishes supplies for PPE, bathrooms, and office as needed + Operates floor scrubber to clean plant floor, aisles, and warehouse + Manages disposal of facility trash and recycling program + Participates in all internal GMP audits; Provides improvement recommendations for sanitation process/practices + Participates in facility Continuous Improvement and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives. + Maintains facility grounds by removing trash, debris, and sludge from manhole covers. + Performs facility upkeep tasks such as in-depth cleaning, surface preparation and painting, cement patch work, etc. + Assists Operations team with training new employees as needed (i.e. GMP, Sanitation, etc.) + All other duties as assigned WORK EXPERIENCES + Minimum 1 year of forklift experience + 2-5 years of experience in a Sanitation ort position preferred + Experience working in an industrial setting required, preferable a SQF or FDA regulated environment EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS + High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES) + Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast paced industrial environment + Must be able to understand verbal and written English + Results focused and detailed oriented + Individual must be punctual, reliable, self-starter and require minimal supervision + Demonstrated ability to follow direction and execute tasks successfully + The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand (up to 8 hours); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Must be able to climb ladders and step-ladders.
