This BME Controls Engineering position provides a great opportunity to lead Ford Motor Company’s journey to electrification within the Battery Manufacturing Engineering (BME) organization. BME Controls team is supporting BlueOval SK plant through equipment safety and functionality validations, ensuring US regulations compliance, ensuring network connectivity with MES servers and guiding OEMs to achieve project milestones on time.

You'll have….

BS in EngineeringFive years of experience in Manufacturing EngineeringIndividual must be a team player and willing to take a leadership role in a project settingGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD)Controls Experience Required, FAST programming knowledge preferredExperience in Controls Software, Cyber Security and StandardsExposure to multiple controls architectures preferred (Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc..)Self-starting (learner and growth mindset), self-directed with extremely good influential, organizational, and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical abilityStrong manufacturing background with heavy emphasis on production related controls experienceAbility to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic JV working environment, working with international JV Partner and diverse teamFlexibility in work location, ability to travel, work overtime and holidays when required

Project Management experienceAutomation design knowledge/experience ASRS Systems, part and process tracking systems (FIS or related), etc.

What you'll do…

Lead Industrial Controls systems development, migration to Ford based solutions and verification for BOSK programsLead development key Controls standards for BOSK programsLead Cyber Security programs and application for BOSK programsEstimate, plan and deliver electrical infrastructure for BME BOSK programsIdentify Controls Best Practice; launch Enablers, Training, and Change Control, etc.Support ETC Subcommittee member, as requiredLiaison with IT on IT / Controls interface issuesDrawing Approval, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, ElectricalApprove requests for deviations/waivers from OEM's and PlantMonitor use of Structured software specification, organize training for OEM's where requiredIssue resolution during machine build and InstallationSupport fresh eyes on other current programsTroubleshoot and resolve production-related downtime (i.e. PLC programs, HMI Screens, etc.). Emphasis on delivery and continuous improvement of safety, quality, and productivityInterface with Automation Suppliers to manage program deliverablesRun-off equipment per JV Partner/Ford specifications at supplier and plant to validate capability and robustness including safetyEnsure production systems meet objectives through R&M, Process Design and FMEAsWork with plant personnel with appropriate timing and installation documentation, to ensure efficient/timely installation and validationUse Lessons Learned to develop program studies and improve standard Bill of Processes
