Summer Internship Program
Our 10-week program is designed to increase future employment potential for prospects while providing a valuable resource to the business. This Summer Internship will appeal to proactive and self-motivated college juniors/seniors with a genuine desire to learn about the energy business and industry. During the internship, candidates will work on real projects and have real responsibilities. NRG aims to help candidates build strengths, gain skills that can be transferred to any workplace, and stand out from the crowd.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Support all phases of the design process across multiple product categories.
+ Participate in user observation, interviews, testing and help synthesize information into insights.
+ Create storyboards to help communicate products that blend digital with physical experiences.
+ Positively contribute in design reviews and other team-wide design efforts.
+ Collaborate with product management and engineering to maintain design intent.
+ Explore consistent application of Vivint design language system.
**Required Skills:**
+ Loves sketching and it shows (digital and physical).
+ Knowledge of human-centered design principles.
+ Hands on! Ability to create quick mock ups in multiple mediums for feedback from design team and users.
+ Working knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software. (SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, Sketchup, Keyshot).
+ Fluency in 2D design tools (e.g. Procreate, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Heavypaint)
+ Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
+ Self-motivated to complete week over week actions and deliverables.
