Job Description:
Join the Mars Petcare Commissioning, Validation & Start-Up team as we deliver on our state of the art new Pouch Facility. As the CVS Electrician you will provide on-site support for the reliability team working on delivering all project outcomes in an efficient and effective way.As the CVS Electrician you will work on a day shift roster (with some weekend work required), working with the broader CVS team to ensure the Pouch Project is running to schedule. You will represent the Supply Electrician function, partnering closely with Engineering and R&D as well as the broader CVS & Reliability team. You will be confident in writing up SOP's and ensuring an easy transition when our Pouch facility is up and running.
What will be your key responsibilities?Undertake in training related to specific equipment. Participate in factory acceptance equipment testing. This could require both domestic and international travel.
Assist with the coordination, scheduling & delivery of Commissioning, Validation and Start-Up requirements, including the preparation of R&D Validation trials, material sourcing, equipment set up, operation and sanitation.
Coordinate the necessary internal MARS departments, and external MARS suppliers, to source the required materials and resources to facilitate design & CVS of the POUCH facility.
Trouble shooting, repairs, disassembly and reassembly of equipment as required to ensure the process is performing as designed.
In conjunction with reliability, develop the SOP’s for these tasks and train POUCH Electricians in these tasks.
Participate in identifying and implementing Continuous Improvement activities that will result in improved efficiencies and reduced losses in factory processes
Generate and maintain CVS and Project documentation for all CVS Phases ensuring a smooth handover at each project stage gate.
What are we looking for?Industrial trade qualification; A-Class Victorian Electrician's License
Experience working in a project-based environment is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure
Manufacturing/FMCG/Food Industry/SAP exposure is advantageous, but not essential
PLC programming experience is preferable
Clear analytical process and troubleshooting skills
Ability to build strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders
Broad knowledge of industrial hardware including 3 phase motors, variable speed drives, pneumatics, hydraulics and instrumentation.
Strong time management, accuracy and high attention to detail
