Can-Tech Services is looking for an Industrial Electrician for one of our reputable Manufacturing clients in Mississauga.

 

Our client is a leading Canadian-based manufacturer and global importer of consumer and building products. The Mississauga location is a leading Canadian Manufacturer of highly engineered, value-added extruded plastic components and products serving various markets primarily in North America.

 

Position: Industrial Electrician.

Position Type: Permanent/Full-Time.

Shift: Days (7.30am- 4pm).

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoots and maintains production equipment, which includes electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Works from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and equipment specifications Participate in Maintenance related projects such as installing new machines, modifying machines parts and other special projects Repairs and replaces electric and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, and kind of switches, PLC’s, motor controls, etc. Wires new control panels according to drawings, and verbal instructions Maintains work order and preventive/predictive maintenance system by filling in the required forms Read and write electrical and electronic schematics as well as read basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuits Install, examine, replace and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components Follow all safety rules inside plant and occupational health and safety act

 

Education and Experience:

442A Industrial Electrician License/309A License. Must have manufacturing experience, ideally in the extrusion or plastics industry. Lead hand Experience. Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems. Excellent problem solving techniques and methods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
