Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining Product Bill of Materials, interpreting electrical blueprints, and troubleshooting CNC machines. You will also be involved in machine wiring, panel building, start-up, and debug operations, while ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain Product Bill of MaterialsRead and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and specificationsTeach robotsTroubleshoot CNC machinesAnticipate and solve problemsOperate various tools and equipment (genie lift, drill press, hydraulic bender, megger)Panel buildingMachine wiringStart-up and debugProvide continuous guidance and training to Electrical Apprentices as assignedPerform office wiring and building maintenance as requiredPipe bendingPrioritize steps within the job to accomplish tasks in a reasonable amount of timePerform assigned tasks in a safe manner and properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energyConsult your supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe mannerFollow all safety rules, standards, and procedures at all timesKnow what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properlyEnsure that your work area is kept clean, tidy, and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality productsReport all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous ImprovementsFollow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world-class quality products are supplied to our customersPerform other related duties as requiredEssential SkillsCertificate of Qualification as Industrial Electrician or Construction and Maintenance ElectricianMinimum 3 years’ experience in automotive tooling and integrationKnowledge of programming robots (Motoman, Fanuc, ABB, and Nachi)Familiar with troubleshooting precision equipment, motors (AC&DC), Boring Mills, and PLCsExperience with electrical conduit, wiring, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and schematicsAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to use hand tools (pipe benders, hydraulic knock-out, crimpers, and soldering iron)Good communication and organizational skillsMust have own toolsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
This manufacturing site specializes in the design and build of automated/robotic assembly lines for the automotive industry. Our areas of expertise include hemming (robotic and table top), laser welding, and assembly line welding. Our customers include Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as General Motors, Chrysler, and Ford.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
