This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team.
This position will report to Steve Lyman - Chief Supply Chain OfficerWhat you get to do every day:Analyze and evaluate distribution processes within multiple fulfillment centers to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, safety, accuracy and cost-effectivenessDevelop and implement process improvements including workflow optimization, space utilization, and inventory management strategies Conduct time studies and labor assessments to determine labor requirements, establish standard operating procedures, and set performance benchmarks in the form of Engineered Labor Standards Perform ABC analysis to categorize inventory for multiple industries and divisions based on value and turnover, enabling improved management of high-priority items Utilize data analysis tools and create associated reporting to track key performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvement opportunities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fulfillment operations, logistics, IT, and inventory management to drive process improvements and alignment with business goals Design and optimize fulfillment center layout, including storage systems, material handling equipment and automation solutions Perform cost-benefit analyses and ROI calculations for proposed projects and process changes Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, focusing on process optimization, cost reduction and enhancing output to meet customer demands Contribute to capital expenditure and operating expense budget development Conduct regular operational audits to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality guidelines and regulatory requirementsTravel between various warehouses and fulfillment centers as requiredWhat you bring to the role:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field3+ years of experience in industrial engineering within a distribution, warehousing or supply chain environmentProficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, PowerBI, or specialized software for industrial engineeringStrong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience in warehouse management systems (WMS), Labor Management Systems(LMS), and material handling systems (MHE)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsProject management experience and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, and change management skillsCertification in Six Sigma or related fields is a strong plusWhat’s in it for you?PTO for salaried employees Medical/Dental/Vision and a variety of supplemental policies available Company 401K match Company Health Spending Account (HSA) match Company provides group life insurance at no cost COBRA reimbursement for salaried employees until health insurance eligible Paid Holidays Birthday off with pay!
