Job Description

Broadcom is seeking an experienced manufacturing Industrial Engineer to leverage data-driven insights to optimize processes, improve yield and increase fab capacity.  Located in Breinigsville, PA, our high volume, 24/7 manufacturing facility produces products to enable fiber optic communication expansion.  Successful candidates must have experience in an electronics manufacturing production line and with data science that will transform raw production data into actionable strategies to enhance efficiency, quality and overall fab performance.  Candidates are expected to lead projects from inception to maturity while interfacing with suppliers, industry partners and on-site production and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Data Analysis and Modeling:

Utilize statistical techniques and AI to analyze large datasets from semiconductor manufacturing processes.Develop predictive models to forecast equipment failure, process deviations, product cycletime and yield improvements.
 

Process and Equipment Optimization:

Collaborate with fab engineers and management to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics for process optimization.Implement advanced analytics techniques to improve process stability, reduce cycle time, and enhance overall product quality including “run/wait/hold” processes and productivity metrics.Analyze and identify sources of variation to improve equipment performance and throughput.
 

Quality Control and Defect Analysis:

Design and implement data-driven solutions for identifying defects and anomalies in semiconductor fabrication including photo overlay measurements and critical dimension specificationsDevelop algorithms to detect patterns in manufacturing data that lead to process improvements and defect reduction.
 

Data Integration and Visualization:

Integrate data from various sources (e.g., SECS/GEM equipment systems, oracle databases, vendor software) to create unified datasets for analysis.Visualize data insights through dashboards and reports to facilitate decision-making and communicate findings to stakeholders.
 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 8+ years of related experience or Master degree and 6+ years of related experienceAdvanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in data analysis and statistical modeling including the use of JMP or TableauFamiliarity with electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry-specific challenges.High level proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Javascript, JMP, SQL and familiarity with data manipulation and visualization libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Plotly).Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $135,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
