Industrial Engineer

In this role you will leverage engineering principles to improve processes, enhance productivity, and reduce waste within our manufacturing plant.  Do you have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams?  If so this could be a great fit!  You will heavily interact with floor production personnel, material handlers, and material supervisors.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

\n\nProcess Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.\nData Analysis: Collect and analyze production processes, workflow, and resource utilization data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\nLean Manufacturing: Apply lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve overall production efficiency.\nCapacity Planning: Assess production capacity and develop plans to meet production demands while minimizing costs and maximizing resource utilization.\nQuality Improvement: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify quality issues and develop strategies for continuous improvement in product quality.\nCost Reduction: Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, material optimization, and resource management.\nProject Management: Participate in projects to improve manufacturing processes, including new equipment installations, process redesigns, and workflow enhancements.\nCross-functional collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of engineering initiatives with operational goals.\nTraining and Development: Provide training and support to manufacturing staff on new processes, tools, and technologies to ensure successful implementation and adoption.\nCompliance and Safety: Ensure that all engineering solutions comply with industry standards and safety regulations.\nSupport awareness of the significant environmental aspects and environmental compliance obligations of your operations and ensure controls are in place.\n\n

 

WHO YOU ARE

\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.\nExperience: 3+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role within a manufacturing environment preferred. \nTechnical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).\nKnowledge of Lean Principles: Strong understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and tools (e.g., 5s, visual management, takt time, Kaizen).\nAnalytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.\nCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.\nTeam Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\n
