Industrial Engineer
Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesAs our Industrial Engineering, you will work within the Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) to design, develop, and produce products within the Mettler Toledo Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serve in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit, which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The team requires a strong, proactive Industrial Engineer to drive performance and quality improvements within the Masstron Product Operations group. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Driving performance and quality improvements within the MTMS Product Operations Group. Optimizing work center layouts, material flows, and process improvement productivity and eliminate waste. Championing lean manufacturing culture on the shop floor. Providing root cause analysis support to drive disturbance elimination. Building and managing capacity models for work centers (equipment & labor). Improving product through-put by reducing overall lead times. Working with engineering to implement new products into production. Working with production teams to analyze and drive KPI improvement. Maintaining close interaction with SCM on managing inventory levels, plans for every part, and material flow. Working with all levels of the organization to improve first pass yield. Monitoring and improving operational processes. Designing, improving, and installing integrated systems to support operational excellence. Maintaining knowledge of best-in-class processes for manufacturing and assembly. Directing and implementing sustainability activities to support GreenMT culture.What You Need to SucceedBachelor's degree in engineering. 3-5 years' work experience in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system. Ability to travel up to 10% to other Producing Organizations, machine suppliers, or vendors. Ability to work fully onsite at our Worthington location, Monday to Friday from 7am-4pm.This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.Our Offer to YouMedical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching – all starting on date of hire Tuition reimbursement, employee wellness programs, plus other perks and discounts Parental and caregiver leave policiesAll the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits Global market strength and worldwide leadership in weighingA brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipmentAbout Mettler ToledoMETTLER TOLEDO is a global leader in precision instruments and services.
