Industrial Engineer

Position Summary:
As an Industrial Engineer you will be responsible for driving operational excellence by analyzing workflows, optimizing production processes, and implementing Lean manufacturing principles to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to develop efficient plant layouts, establish and maintain labor standards, and drive continuous improvement across production operations.

In addition to technical expertise, this role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is a champion of Lean principles, committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement while delivering measurable results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
 
Essential Functions:

Performs time studies, ergonomic safety assessments, process flow analysis, line balancing, and productivity evaluations for all production areas, identifying and implementing improvements with a proactive mindset.Conducts financial analysis for product cost reduction projects and quality initiatives, providing actionable recommendations.Maintains capacity and manpower models, taking ownership to initiate corrective actions and improvements as needed.Develops and optimizes factory layouts for assembly equipment, leveraging creativity and critical thinking to design efficient workflows.Establishes, maintains, and improves labor standards, line layouts, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and routings for all products with an emphasis on standardization and sustainability.Collaborates with process owners, shop floor shareowners, and engineers to develop flexible manufacturing cell designs, fostering trust and engagement across teams.Evaluates and integrates new techniques and technologies into production processes with adaptability and enthusiasm for innovation.Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills, applying computer and logic-based methods to develop solutions for a variety of routine problems.Actively contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and driving Lean initiatives, facilitating collaboration, and mentoring others as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, inspire, and present to management, peers, and shop floor teams effectively.Demonstrates critical thinking, resilience, and adaptability in navigating challenges and identifying innovative solutions.Effective time management, project management, and documentation skills, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Project, AutoCAD, and ERP Systems, coupled with a willingness to learn and improve continuously.Displays emotional intelligence and empathy when working with diverse teams, ensuring collaborative and productive relationships.Working knowledge of GD&T, SPC, Validation, and PFMEA, with the ability to apply these tools effectively in a manufacturing environment.Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.A degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.Preferred experience in Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing concepts, with a demonstrated passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
