JOB SUMMARY:
The Industrial Engineer in Product Development Excellence will focus on identifying inefficient or unsupported cross functional processes within Polaris, optimizing them, documenting them, and finding the correct sustaining structure and organization. This role aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement in engineering and operations processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identify and analyze inefficient or unsupported processes within the organization including value stream mapping, time studies, bottleneck analysis, and capacity/constraint/utilization calculations.
· Develop and implement strategies to optimize these processes increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
· Document optimized processes and ensure they are accessible and understandable.
· Collaborate with various departments to find the correct sustaining home for optimized processes.
· Develop and maintain a process management system with governance to ensure continuous improvement.
· Engage with stakeholders across the company, including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Human Resources, to understand the greatest needs and risks associated with process optimization.
· Provide relevant training, support, and coaching to promote a culture of lean / continuous improvement.
· Influence knowledge sharing and collaborative workflow culture among departments and project teams.
· Independently develop best practices and drive critical thinking.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS /MS degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience in process optimization and project management.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret large amounts of data.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
· Experience with process documentation and management systems.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
· Experience in a product development, Design To Value, Design For Manufacturing, testing and reliability.
· Experience in Lean Product and Process Development enablement activities in a STEM environment.
· Experience with change management within a large organization.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Standard office environment with opportunity to work-from-home up to 2 days per week
· Some travel required (up to 10%)

The pay range for Minnesota is $75,000 to $95,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
