Raytheon is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors portfolio of factories in Tucson, AZ to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver increasing value to the customer.  Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more.  Every day presents new and exciting challenges and reminds us of our mission to deliver to those who defend us.  We hope you are as excited about this opportunity as we are.

What You Will Do

Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key performance indicatorsCalculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraintsApply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goalsInfluence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and planning the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment that create a competitive advantage Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growthSupport new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration effortsImprove factory safety and work cell ergonomics

What You Will Learn

Qualifications You Must Have  

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree in a related fieldThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a Secret security clearance only US citizens are eligible for a security clearanceThe ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

We Are RTX

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
