TITLE: Industrial Engineer II
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
DUTIES: Partner with engineering, operations, and cross-functional resources on critical growth projects that will eliminate waste and promote efficiency within the value stream.
Define and execute the scope of activities of programs and/or projects to achieve results.
Define and manage detailed project schedules, including routine communication of progress, risks, and issues.
Facilitate effective, science-based business decisions and assess and communicate their impacts on the stakeholders.
Collaborate with workstream leads and department functions to develop required pertinent metrics and KPIs for the Digital Transformation Initiative to measure and drive performance.
Create stimulations that model capacity and analysis of various options in support of growth initiatives for long term capacity needs to ensure capacity always exceeds customer demands.
Develop people, process, and material flow layouts to support improvements in efficiency and capacity, including Value Stream Mapping Activities.
Conduct sensitivity analysis on different scenarios on both demand operation bottlenecks to determine go-forward plan to achieve growth objectives with longer term action plans.
Collaborate with manufacturing manager and continuous improvement coordinators to execute continuous improvement projects regarding facilities, workflow and tooling to improve product quality and cost reductions through data analysis.
Travel: Up to 5% domestic travel required.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or related experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or a related field of study plus 0 years of experience as an equivalent alternative.
Required knowledge or experience with:
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified required.
Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
Six Sigma and Lean philosophies including coaching and teaching others on Process Mapping, Visual Management, 5S, Gemba, Data Analytics (Minitab);
Financial analysis and data analytics on the value stream;
cGMP compliance and regulatory agency requirements and procedures;
Experience in a Hazardous Classification manufacturing environment;
Maintenance control systems (PLM systems);
Agile, OCPLM, and Trackwise experience;
Product management for required CapEx projects;
Communicating with contractors, vendors, and consulting resources;
Warehouse Layout design and optimization;
Project Management Software like MS Project or Primavera;
Translating project requirements into effective tailoring to senior management and key stakeholders.
