Industrial Engineer Intern

Description:Summer 2025 Internship in Production Operations organization. Candidate will perform Industrial Engineering related tasks in support of Production Operations at our Missiles and Fire Control Orlando facility.

Candidate must be pursuing a 4 year engineering degree from an accredited college or university. Candidate must be able to apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields as well as support continuous improvement activities.

Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

This position is for a Summer 2025 internship.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering

Must have the ability to obtain facility access.
Desired Skills:
Familiar with basic Industrial Engineering principles

Experienced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, access, word and excel). Knowledge of facilities layouts, time studies, simulation and teaming. Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of ‘Lean’ manufacturing concepts & techniques, AutoCAD software and Simulation.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
