The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking Senior Industrial Engineers located in Berkeley MO.

Position Responsibilities:

Applies advanced industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements.Reviews the development of complex plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.Identifies new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.Reviews work flow design and analysis. Leads the development of models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leader and customers.Leads research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.Reviews plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.Evaluates product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices.Leads operations planning, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.Leads execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices.Monitors production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support. Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters degree OR 4+ years of work-related experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience supporting manufacturingExperience with scheduling and defining precedence networksExperience leading stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
