Industrial Engineering Intern Job Description The Industrial Engineering Intern on the Filtration Systems Inc operations team is offered the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leading and executing production packaging cell and collaborate on continuous improvement projects. The IE Intern will work with various teams across the organization including Supply Chain, Engineering, Production and Quality. This role will allow the intern to put classroom concepts to practice in a real manufacturing environment and will allow them to make an impact at FSI. The Industrial Engineering Intern will report to the FSI operations Industrial Engineer. Duties and Responsibilities + Lead project analysis and execute implementation of a packaging area + Perform data collection and analysis of production process + Support continuous improvement projects as assigned + Develop documentation including work instructions and process flows + Assist in data collection and evaluation for production performance and recommend changes Skills and Specifications + Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes + Strong problem solving skills + Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor/SolidWorks) + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Good organization skills + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Education and Qualifications + Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field \ + Available full time over the summer, approximately 40 hours per week Powered by JazzHR
