Industrial Engineering Internship: Electrical SAFety Compliance Assessments
Introduction

The Electronic Development Infrastructure group for DUV systems in ASML, owns bundles with cables, fibers and supporting mechanics which implement connections between project modules for XT and NXT machines. Also owns qualified cabinets (HLQB) with hardware of multiple modules within the DUV systems. The group has knowledge on connectivity and machine layout and they implement connections for other projects enabling all stakeholders to focus on their own expertise.

Your assignment

Electronics group use three SAF documents. SAF comes from SAFety standards (where GSA = Generic Standards of ASML). 
Your assignment will be to do a full assessment of compliancy of electrical infrastructure designs to check with SAF compliancy. Your tasks will be to:

Deep dive into available SAFs;

Assess the existing designs and run assessment to look for gaps;

The goal of your internship is to do a re-verification to check if existing assesments cover all part of the SAFs and also make sure we assess all aspects of the SAF.

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

Are a bachelor or master student in Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering;

Are bachelor student looking for a graduation project (Bachelor’s Graduation) or bachelor/master student looking to gain work experience (bachelor/master’s apprentice);

Are able to read E-drawings like -  cable overview, wire design and datasheets;

Can handle e-complexity as the topic can be quite generic.

You are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship;

You need to be in The Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you‘re currently living/studying outside of The Netherlands, please include your CV/motivation letter and willingness to relocate in your application.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
