What You Will Do:

As Industrial Equipment Inspector you will be responsible for performing inspections on fixed equipment such as piping, heat exchangers, storage tanks and pressure vessels. Provides regular monitoring and documentation of the equipment’s condition to ensure safe operation.

What We’re Looking For:

Use of competencies, knowledge and skills in the mechanical field to inspect and maintain existing piping, mechanical equipment and process systems. Keep up to date with the latest industry standards, welding, and inspection certifications. Use extensive knowledge of welding processes to assist in finding solutions to various types of field problems. Promote a positive, professional work environment for department coworkers

Skills That Make a Difference: 

High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited school or institution. 3+ years of experience in the industrial field, specifically in the areas of fabrication and repair of equipment and piping systems. Certified API 653 / 570 / 510 Inspector or willingness to work towards any certification within 3-5 years. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or willingness to work towards certification within 2 years, with demonstrated proficiency in welding and/or brazing procedures. Skilled in all types of welding fabrication techniques and able to interpret welding standards.

 

Considered a Plus:

Excellent mechanical aptitude – efficient problem solving skills. Ability to train and coach coworkers.Strong understanding of ASME Section IX Code requirements. Experienced with API 620 and API 650 Tank Construction Standards. Experienced with API 653 / 570 / 510 Equipment Inspection Standards. Experienced with Visual, UT, PT, MT examination methods.

Working Conditions:                                    

Schedule is M-F 8hr days Ability to maintain a physically strenuous routine involving lifting up to 50 lbs., tank entries, climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, pipe racks, and operating man-lifts. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Must be able to wear required PPE, such as respirator and fall protection.  Must be willing/able to work outdoors in inclement weather
