**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an Industrial HygieneTechnician to assist in environmental monitoring, sampling, testing, and data collection. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of environmental regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and contribute to environmental preservation efforts.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct fieldwork to collect samples and data for environmental testing.
+ Perform analysis and testing of samples in a laboratory setting.
+ Assist in preparing reports and documentation of environmental data.
+ Monitor and maintain environmental monitoring equipment.
+ Collaborate with environmental scientists and engineers on projects.
+ Perform air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects.
+ Perform asbestos management, inspections, risk assessments, renovation, abatement, and maintenance activities in a manner that is compliant with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
+ Conduct surveys for hazardous materials, asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, and mold.
+ May require working evenings and/or weekends as scheduling demands change.
+ Any other work related duties assigned by your supervisor.
+ Organizing and maintaining accurate records.
**Requirements:**
+ Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
+ Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
+ Ability to collect and analyze environmental samples accurately.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
+ High school diploma
+ 1-3 years of experience in a related field
+ Current EPA/AHERA building inspector accreditations required
+ Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
+ NJ Asbestos Safety Technician certification preferred but not required
**Technical Requirements:**
+ New Jersey Asbestos Safety Technician Registration or ability to obtain within 1 year desired
+ New Jersey/Pennsylvania lead based paint inspector registration or ability to obtain in 1 year desired
**Other Miscellaneous Qualities:**
+ Should possess excellent writing skills with attention to detail
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to utilize standard Microsoft Office suite software
+ Possess ability to perform site activities including field sampling and reconnaissance
+ Ability to travel as necessary to complete duties
+ Abide by Atlas and site specific health and safety policies and procedures
